Rev. Stokstad was our pastor from late 2004 through 2008. In this sermon, drawn from Mark 10: 35 – 45, she suggests
that the Jesus is challenging us to see the world differently, to be fully aware – - fully present in every moment. She also quoted a contemporary poem on the same idea:
The Gate

This is what you have been waiting for, he used to say to me.
And I’d say, What?
And he’d say, This – holding up my cheese and mustard sandwich.
And I’d say, What?
