OGHS Mission Statement

One Great Hour of Sharing

This year’s OGHS offering will be collected Sunday March 10

One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) is an ecumenical relief program that dates to the aftermath of WWII.  Currently, nine protestant denominations in the US cooperate to raise over $20 million annually for disaster relief, refugee assistance and development aid in more than 100 countries.

FCCSR has always made a major effort to support OGHS, in part because it has one of the lowest expense ratios of all major relief organizations.  In most years, FCCSR ranks among the top UCC churches in per-member giving to OGHS.
