Pilgrim Park re-Dedication

On July 14, 2007, almost exactly 35 years after it first opened, we gathered again to re-dedicate Pilgrim Park, our low-income affordable housing project. The occasion was the opening of the spectacular new DeHaan Community Center and the completion of a year-long, multi-million dollar project to renovate and upgrade every building in the development. Mayor Al Boro and other local dignitaries were there, along with FCCSR members, Pilgrim Park residents, staff and many of the contractors who worked on the project. Most significant was the presence of Rev. Francis Geddes, who was our Pastor back in 1969 and, together with the late John Starkweather, was the driving force behind the original decision to build Pilgrim Park.
